HCM

Hypertrophic CardioMyopathy

Is the most common (hereditary disorder) heart defect within cats. This is a thickening of the heart muscle.

PKD

Polycystic Kidney Disease

When a cat has PKD, he/she has a kidney disease. There are various cysts that oppress the healthy tissue of the kidneys and provide a diminishing effect.

SMA

Spinal Muscular Atrophy

Is a hereditary congenital disorder. There is something wrong with the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, resulting in poor control of the skeletal muscles.

felva

Feline Leukemia Virus

The virus affects the cats immune system. This results in the eventual development of tumors. Cats become infected through the mouth or nose, through salivary glands, urine or feces.

FIV

Feline Immunodeficiency Virus

Is a virus that causes cat aids. it destroys the cats immune system, making it similar as Felv.

PL

Patellar Luxation

The cats kneecaps can shoot out of the trench when he/she has PL. As a result, the cat may have difficulty stretching or jumping.
